Earthquake History & Preparedness Class

Service Description

Santa Rosa experienced a pair of earthquakes on 9/13/22, and some people got a little warning before the earthquake hit because they have the newest earthquake warning technology on their phones. Learn about why the Bay Area is earthquake country, the earthquake history of the region, and which areas are prone to damaging earthquakes. The early earthquake warning app will be explained, and additional earthquake preparations will be discussed. Learn how to react to protect yourself during an earthquake, review the basics of building a go bag and emergency kit, and learn how to access resources you may want to access quickly in the event of a disaster.

Cancellation Policy

Please honor the 24 hour cancellation policy for private trips, walks, classes & sessions. Group walks & trips must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance online, or via email or phone. For virtual fitness classes, the cutoff to register is 10 minutes prior to class. Please email nicolepele@hotmail.com if you miss this cutoff (it may not be too late)
